Yes. Your recordings and session data are stored securely and never shared with third parties. Recordings are processed only to generate your AI feedback and are not used to train external models. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

Your dashboard gives you an overview of all your practice sessions, including scores, practice types, and dates. You can see trends over time, review past feedback, and jump straight into a new session from one central place.

Yes. Every completed session is saved to your dashboard. Click on any past session to review the full AI feedback - including your score, strengths, areas to improve, the coach's tip, and the "Try Saying This" suggestions.

You can't currently delete previous sessions but we are looking into implementing this feature soon.

Your dashboard displays your score history across sessions, so you can see how your performance changes over time. Consistent practice on similar topics helps the AI identify recurring patterns and specific growth areas.

From the dashboard, click Practice. Choose your practice type, enter a topic or question, then press the record button. Oriq will ask for microphone access the first time - make sure to allow it so your voice can be captured.

Speak as you would in the real situation you're preparing for. For study sessions, explain the topic as if teaching someone else. For interviews, answer the question as you would in the actual interview. The more natural your delivery, the more useful the feedback will be.

Currently there is a strict 1 minute time limit as we are currently monitoring the performance of the AI transcribing and generating feedback.

First, check that your browser has permission to access your microphone - look for the camera/mic icon in your browser's address bar. If you previously denied access, click it to change the setting and then refresh the page. Also make sure:

• You're using a supported browser (Chrome or Edge recommended)
• No other app is exclusively using your microphone
• Your device's microphone is enabled in system settings

Yes. Before you submit a recording for feedback, you can discard it and start again. Just click Try Again on the review screen. Once you've submitted and received feedback, you can start a new session on the same topic.

After you finish recording, Oriq transcribes your speech and sends it to an AI model trained to evaluate verbal communication. The AI analyses your response across several dimensions - clarity, depth, structure, and relevance - and generates a personalised score and written feedback broken down into strengths and areas to improve.

Your session score is out of 10. This is an overall rating based on how well your response covered the topic, how clearly it was communicated, and how well-structured your explanation was. A score of 7–8 is a solid performance, and 9–10 is excellent.

"Try Saying This" is a coaching feature that shows you example phrases or sentence structures you could have used to communicate your point more clearly or confidently. It's not about giving you a script to memorise - it's about showing you patterns of strong verbal communication you can internalise over time.

Oriq uses high-accuracy speech-to-text technology. It performs best in a quiet environment with a clear microphone. Accents and natural speech patterns are supported, though heavy background noise can reduce accuracy. If a transcript looks off, the feedback may be less precise - try re-recording in a quieter space.

Oriq currently focuses on English. If you practise in another language, transcription and feedback quality may vary. Multi-language support is something we're looking at for a future release - if this is important to you, let us know.

Oriq is completely free during the early access period. Paid plans will be announced once we move out of beta. Early access users will receive advance notice and are likely to benefit from discounted pricing when plans launch.

No. We will never charge you without your explicit consent. When paid plans become available, you'll be informed and asked to choose a plan. You'll remain on free access until you actively upgrade.

Once billing is available, you'll be able to cancel at any time. There are no cancellation fees and your access will continue until the end of the billing period you've already paid for. For help, contact contact@oriq.co.uk.
